The Solution SLE35i is an innovative electric fire designed specifically for installation behind a compatible cast-iron fireplace insert.
Rather than enclosing its flame effect behind a conventional firebox, the SLE35i projects a gently moving flame pattern onto the cast back of the fireplace. This combines with a pulsing illuminated coal bed to create an unusually realistic interpretation of a traditional cast-iron fire.
Please note that the surrounding cast-iron insert, cast back and decorative fret shown in lifestyle images are not supplied with the fire.
Designed for cast-iron fireplace inserts
The compact SLE35i engine fits behind a compatible cast-iron fireplace insert, allowing the detailing and character of a traditional fireplace to be retained while converting it to convenient electric operation.
Its flame pattern is projected onto the cast back, making the surrounding cast iron an integral part of the visual effect.
Compatibility depends on the shape and internal dimensions of the selected cast insert. The fire engine has an approximate rear width of 280mm, but all dimensions must be checked before ordering.
Projected flame effect
Solution’s eTronic flame technology produces a flickering flame pattern that plays across the cast-iron back panel.
The flame brightness can be adjusted through high, intermediate and low settings or switched off when only the illuminated coal bed is required.
Pulsing illuminated coal bed
The glowing coal-effect fuel bed provides a warm, traditional appearance. Its gently pulsing illumination recreates the changing intensity of real burning coals without smoke, soot or solid fuel.
Three fuel-bed brightness levels allow the display to be adjusted to suit the room.
Remote-controlled heating
A concealed electric heater provides low and high heat settings, with a maximum output of 1.3kW.
Set the required room temperature between 15°C and 30°C using the supplied remote. The thermostatic control switches the heater off when the selected temperature is reached and restarts it when the room cools.
Seven-day programmable timer
The remote control includes a seven-day heating programme, allowing the desired temperature and operating periods to be scheduled for each day of the week.
Separate six- and eight-hour automatic shut-off options are also available for convenient everyday use.
Energy-conscious operation
Open-window detection switches the heater off if a sudden fall in room temperature is detected, helping prevent unnecessary energy consumption.
The flame and coal-bed effects can be operated without heat, allowing the traditional fireside appearance to be enjoyed throughout the year.
