Tubby Tom’s Lone Star is a Texas-inspired super lean brisket rub built around big pepper, smoked salt, garlic, onion, herbs, yeast, and MSG for that extra savoury hit.
This is a crunchy, bold, pepper-forward seasoning designed to amplify the natural flavour of brisket without loading it with sugar or overpowering the meat. It is ideal for low-and-slow BBQ, smoked brisket, beef ribs, turkey, chicken, steak, eggs, roast potatoes, fries, crisps, and anything else that needs a salty, peppery kick.
It was made with brisket in mind, but it has quickly become one of those “put it on everything” seasonings. Use it as a dry rub before smoking, sprinkle it over cooked food as a finishing dust, or shake it onto snacks when they need rescuing.
