Bring the character of a glowing log fire to a traditional fireplace with the Onyx Eclipse 40R. Designed around a standard 16-inch fireplace opening, this compact inset electric fire combines beautifully detailed logs with an expressive LCD flame display, giving a familiar fireplace a remarkable new lease of life.
At its heart is Onyx’s Authentic Flame Technology. With 16 flame choices, you can enjoy the familiar movement of a woodburning fire or explore a more contemporary look. The IlluminOak split oak-effect logs add another dimension: illuminated from within, their gently pulsing glow creates the impression of embers glowing through the wood.
Lighting beneath the fuel bed brings depth to the display, while adjustable downlighting changes how the logs are revealed. Choose a warm, understated setting for a quiet evening or introduce colour for a different atmosphere. Remote, app and touch-panel controls make it easy to adjust the fire from wherever you feel most comfortable.
The Eclipse 40R provides up to 1.5kW of programmable heat, with the option to enjoy the flames independently throughout the year. A fan-only mode also offers gentle air circulation.
Finished with an integrated gloss black frame, the 40R works beautifully within a mantel surround. The lower trim can be removed for a three-sided frame arrangement, helping the fire sit neatly above a hearth.
For anyone who wants a convincing fireside focal point without moving to a larger fireplace format, the Eclipse 40R brings the range’s distinctive visual technology into a compact, thoughtfully proportioned design.
