The Katell Italia Taranto Two-Step Electric Fireplace Suite combines elegant fireplace proportions with the advanced LCD flame technology of the Charlton & Jenrick Luminosa 62.
Designed for straightforward flat-to-wall installation, the Taranto creates the appearance of a traditionally installed fireplace without requiring a chimney, flue or inset opening. Its single stepped surround gives this model a clean, balanced appearance, while an extensive choice of Katell finishes allows the fireplace to be tailored to both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Elegant Two-Step Design
The Two-Step Taranto is the more compact of the two designs, measuring 1170mm across its widest point.
Its simplified single-step profile provides attractive architectural detail without overwhelming the room, making it particularly suitable for smaller and medium-sized living spaces.
The suite can be specified in a single finish or with contrasting finishes used across different sections of the surround.
Luminosa 62 LCD Electric Fire
At the centre of the suite is the Charlton & Jenrick Luminosa 62 electric fire.
Real Flame Technology uses a high-definition LCD screen to produce a detailed flame picture with impressive depth and movement. Glowing embers, illuminated logs and smoke-style effects combine to create a rich and convincing fireside display.
The fire’s Dark Screen Programme improves contrast when the fire is in use, helping the flames appear brighter and more defined against the rear of the display.
Customisable Flames and Lighting
Choose from 16 flame options, each with five mood settings, giving extensive control over the brightness, movement and intensity of the fire.
The Luminosa 62 also provides:
- Nine log-light settings
- Three downlight options
- Ten fuel-bed colours
- Four fuel-bed mood settings
- Flame-only operation
Optional LED surround lighting offers a further 13 colours and can be controlled separately or coordinated with the fire.
Standard and Premium Logs

Smart Heating and Control
Control the fire using the supplied remote or the C&J Smart App.
An integrated heater provides up to 2kW of supplementary warmth. Thermostatic operation, a seven-day heating programme and open-window detection provide convenient and energy-conscious control.
