Herby, garlicky Greek-style flavour for meat and vegetables
Tubby Tom’s Zero to Gyros is a bold Mediterranean-inspired seasoning made for gyros, grilled meat and colourful vegetable dishes.
Garlic, lemon and herbs lead the flavour, supported by paprika, coriander, cumin and warming spices. Cinnamon and Aleppo chilli add aromatic depth and gentle warmth without making the seasoning excessively hot.
Use it as a straightforward dry rub or combine it with yoghurt to marinate chicken before cooking. It is also excellent tossed through aubergine, courgette, tomatoes and potatoes before roasting.
Serve the finished meat or vegetables in warm pittas with salad, yoghurt, houmous or herby couscous.
How it tastes
Bold, garlicky and lemony with fragrant herbs, earthy cumin, paprika and gently warming spice.
What to use it on
- Chicken gyros
- Pork gyros
- Lamb
- Kebabs
- Aubergine
- Courgette
- Tomatoes
- Potatoes
- Roasted vegetables
- Salads
- Flatbreads
- Couscous
How to use it
As a dry rub
Lightly coat the meat with oil, apply the seasoning generously and leave it to marinate before grilling, barbecuing or roasting.
For chicken gyros
Marinate chicken in yoghurt for up to 24 hours, then coat it with the seasoning.
Thread the chicken onto a skewer and cook it indirectly until safely cooked through. Finish it over direct heat to create charred edges, then slice thinly and serve in warm pittas.

For vegetables
Toss aubergine, courgette, tomatoes, potatoes and garlic with oil and seasoning, then roast until caramelised. Serve with flatbreads, houmous and couscous.
