The Dimplex e-MatriX 800/500 IIL brings the fireplace around a corner, with glazing across the front and left-hand side. This open corner changes how the fire relates to the room: the display can be enjoyed from different seating positions, and the glazed return gives the fireplace depth when viewed from an angle.
It is particularly suited to layouts where the left side of a projecting chimney breast faces the living space. A chair positioned beside the fireplace can share the view, while the surrounding structure can be finished to complement your furniture, flooring and architectural details. Optimyst technology uses illuminated water vapour to create three-dimensional flames around a detailed resin log set. The naturally moving effect is especially engaging through the corner glazing, where you can appreciate the depth of the firebed. Adjustable top and bottom lighting adds character to the logs and ember display, with integrated crackling sound completing the fireside atmosphere.
Flame height, colours and lighting can be adjusted to suit your mood. The supplied remote handles everyday functions, while the Dimplex e-MatriX app provides access to more detailed settings, including heating and thermostat controls. Two heat settings offer up to 2kW of supplementary warmth, and the flame effect can run independently whenever atmosphere is all you need.
A permanent water connection supplies the Optimyst system as standard. Alternatively, an optional Dimplex pump arrangement can draw from an external reservoir. The fire requires a planned built-in installation with suitable ventilation and access for cleaning, filters and servicing.
The IIL is the left-hand corner model, so check the glazing orientation against your room layout before ordering. Choosing the correct corner allows the fireplace to open towards the part of the room where it will be enjoyed most.
