The Dimplex e-MatriX 800/500 RD makes the fireplace part of the way your home is arranged. Designed for a projecting room divider, it offers two opposite viewing faces and a glazed end, allowing the fire to be enjoyed as you move around the structure.
It is particularly effective between living and dining areas, or wherever you want to create a distinction between two spaces while retaining a visual connection. The fireplace becomes a shared feature, with each side offering its own perspective on the flames and log display. The glazed end completes the presentation and gives the divider an open, considered finish.
Dimplex Optimyst technology creates a three-dimensional flame effect using illuminated water vapour. The moving flames rise around a detailed resin log set, giving the display depth from both sides. Adjustable top and bottom lighting highlights the fuel bed, while integrated crackling sound contributes to the atmosphere.
Flame height, colours and lighting can be tailored to suit the room and time of day. The remote provides convenient everyday operation, with more detailed settings available through the Dimplex e-MatriX app. Two heat settings offer up to 2kW of supplementary warmth. The flame effect can also run independently, allowing the divider to remain a focal point without adding unwanted heat.
The RD is designed around a permanent water connection, with an optional Dimplex pump system available for an external reservoir. It does not require a gas supply or flue, offering greater freedom when planning its position. The surrounding structure must nevertheless provide the ventilation, connections and service access required by the installation instructions.
